Easter Confest 2026

This year marks 50 years since confest started, and my fourth confest.

I met some incredible humans and contributed to the community in ways I never would’ve imagined.

This Easter, I stepped into roles as a HIVE facilitator and a ranger lead under the moniker ‘Ranger Prince.’ While I didn’t really have much time to attend workshops balancing both roles, I felt deeply fulfilled with feeding all the volunteers with the HIVE kitchen crew and responding to incidents alongside my fellow rangers.

Being able to give back to the community in such a meaningful way was more than I could’ve ever asked for.

Across both roles, I contributed over 60+ hours throughout the week.

As a HIVE facilitator, I helped budget and organise food deliveries, and prepared meals for around 500 volunteers.

As a Ranger Lead and field ranger, I responded to incidents, coordinated with site operations, and assigned teams on the ground.

To top it all off, the day after the festival ended, a fellow ranger and I woke up at 6am to drive two confesters to Swan Hill to get a key cut for their car, which had suddenly stopped working.

After driving an hour each way and grabbing breakfast in Swan Hill, their car actually started, and my ranger friend Chris kissed the bonnet in glory.

We drove back to Melbourne that day. Just one of many beautiful moments.

Thank you to everyone who makes this festival what it is, and to all the beautiful people I met along the way.

Here’s to next time❤️
